For the fourth straight year, the Jazz on Wheels program will bring Jazz performances to area schools!


Fun Night at the Governor

Friday September 5
7:30pm-???, Governor Office Building, Admission $5.00
  • Sutu Forte and Spontaneous Combustion II
  • "Doctor" John Hopkins and the Cure for Summer Dog Days
  • Jam Session, with guest artists, after 10p.m.


Free Capitol Concert

Saturday September 6th
12 noon to dusk, Missouri State Capitol Lawn
  • 12pm Opening with Lincoln University Jazz and vocal group
  • 1pm Stars of Tomorrow
  • 3pm The Majestics (tentative)
  • 4pm Jazz Treasure Sonny Lefholz and the Jazz Generation
  • 5pm from Kansas City on the Hammond B3, B3 Time with Everette DeVan with vocalist Sharon Thompson (short set)
  • 6pm Tom Andes Quintet
  • 7pm Closing


Jazz at the Governor

Saturday September 6
8:00pm-???, Governor Office Building
Admission $10.00 (20% off for 10 or more)
Immediately following the outdoor concert, the Jazzfest will move to the Governor Office Building for the evening's entertainment. This is a paid event limited to 250. Food and beverages are available from the Governor coffee house cafe.

  • 9pm B3 Time with Everette DeVan with vocalist Sharon Thompson
  • 10pm Jam Session, with guest artists
